Mr. Siddique is a co-founder and Executive Chairman of Odyssey Capital, and Chairman and CEO of Tigris, a
sustainability focused investment firm.
Mr. Siddique has over 30 years of global experience in infrastructure and financial services. His experience in infrastructure finance and development, including Public-Private-Partnerships (PPPs), spans across all key infrastructure sub-sectors, including in Asia (India, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam etc), sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Middle East North Africa, and the U.S. After establishing Odyssey Capital, he has advised more than a dozen water companies in Asia on various strategic and fund raising mandates on PPP projects throughout Asia.
Mr. Siddique previously worked with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), for more than 16 years, and before that, with Swiss Bank Corporation (now UBS) in New York. Mr. Siddique was Group Executive Vice President of Hyflux Ltd, and CEO of Hyflux Water Trust, which he led the IPO of on the mainboard of the Singapore Stock Exchange. He has also served as Joint Managing Director and Board Member of Srei Infrastructure Finance Ltd, one of the leading infrastructure finance companies in India. Mr. Siddique currently is a Member of Board and Chairman of the Credit and New Business Committees of Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund which has invested more than USD 1.1 billion in more than twenty sub-Saharan countries. In India, he has taught at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta, one of the leading business schools in India as an adjunct professor. Mr. Siddique holds an MBA from Cornell University, and B.Sc. in Computer Science from University of Maryland.
Mr. Siddique currently serves as a Member of Board of Directors of Winrock International (www.winrock.org), a leader in international development, with projects in 50 countries including Africa, Asia and Latin America.

While at the IFC in Washington D.C., Mr. Siddique led several investment transactions in the field of project finance, and structured debt and equity investments in the infrastructure sectors in high growth markets such as India, China, and other countries in Asia and Latin America regions. He was in charge of IFC's pioneering investments in the Latin Power Fund, the first private equity infrastructure fund for emerging markets, the Asia Mezzanine Infrastructure Fund, the first investment vehicle of its kind in Asia, and Profund, the first private equity fund targetting microlending institutions. From 2004-2007, he was the head of business development for infrastructure projects in the East Asia and Pacific region for IFC.
Mr. Siddique also served as the CEO and Board Member of Hyflux Water Trust (HWT), a global water infrastructure fund, and led its IPO on the Main-board of the Singapore Stock Exchange. HWT’s investment focus was water and waste-water treatment, desalination, water recycling, and water distribution projects, primarily in Asia, the Middle East and North Africa region and other high growth markets. Under his tenure, HWT delivered first year Distribution per Unit and Net Profit which exceeded IPO forecast, and also increased HWT’s total water assets size under management by 112%. Mr. Siddique was also a member of the top management of Hyflux Ltd. in Singapore, one of the leading water infrastructure companies in Asia, where he was responsible for Hyflux’s India operations and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) business globally, and assisting the Group’s CEO/Founder in overseeing Asia and Middle East and North Africa markets.
Mr. Siddique has served as Joint Managing Director and Board Member of Srei Infrastructure Finance Ltd (SREI), a leading non-bank financial institution in India. At SREI, he was responsible for spearheading SREI’s infrastructure business, including the Project Finance group. The Project Finance group provides both senior and mezzanine/quasi equity financing to primarily mid-market infrastructure companies in various infrastructure sectors including power, roads, ports, water, telecom, and logistics. During 2009-2013, his achievements include upgrading the Project Finance group’s infrastructure domain knowledge and team strength, growing its loan portfolio from about USD200 million to USD2 billion, and substantially increasing the group's operating profits. In addition to leading the Project Finance group’s business development team, he spearheaded the development and adoption of detailed credit policies, implementation of environmental and social management system policies, and the establishment of a separate Credit and Risk division. He also oversaw SREI's investment banking and venture capital businesses.
Mr. Siddique has also worked with the Swiss Bank Corporation (now UBS) in New York, where he was responsible for structured finance, leveraged buyouts, leveraged leasing, asset securitization transactions, and investments in financial institutions and municipal infrastructure projects, all in the U.S.
He is a Member of Board of Directors and Chairman of the Credit and New Business Committees of the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund (EAIF). EAIF is sponsored by a consortium of European development finance institutions, and the World Bank.
In Singapore, Mr. Siddique was formerly a Special Advisor to the Board of Directors of WaterTech Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based water and environmental engineering specialist, which is developing water and urban infrastructure projects in emerging markets in Asia. He was also formerly a Member of Singapore SME Development Taskforce created to develop a programme to help Singapore’s SMEs expand overseas and become globally competitive. He has conducted seminars/workshops in Singapore, which were sponsored by Singapore government entities (such as Public Utilities Board, Singapore Spring) and industry organizations (such as Singapore Water Association, Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore) on financing strategies for SMEs, structuring infrastructure projects, business plan and growth strategy development, etc.
In India, he has taught at the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, one of the leading business schools in India, as a visiting faculty member. He was formerly Executive Committee Member, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, and a former Member of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), National Council on Infrastructure.
Mr. Siddique holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, and an MBA from Cornell University.

He was a key member of team which led the IPO listing of HWT on the Singapore Stock Exchange, and served as a director of 11 water SPVs.

He has provided financial and strategic advisory services to infrastructure and environmental companies on capital raising and business expansion in growth markets in Asia. He is working with various Singapore Government agencies (e.g. Spring Singapore) and industry associations (e.g. Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore) on training SMEs. Odyssey Capital is also in the process of establishing Tigris Asia Water Fund, the first private equity fund of its kind to support mid-market water companies in Asia.
